Enjoy a drive through one of the many game reserves in Port Elizabeth and surrounds or visit the penguins at SAMREC. Bottlenose dolphins are very common in Algoa Bay and can be also seen throughout the year. You can also enjoy a bit of whale watching between the months of June and January or take a boat trip to Bird Island to view the penguin colonies.

Enjoy a day in the sun at one of the many beautiful, clean, Blue Flag beaches in Port Elizabeth. King's Beach offers a water park and skate park for the kids and McArthur's crisp pools overlooking the ocean will leave you wanting to stay for more. If you prefer a less commercial beach, Sardinia Bay is a few kilometres further and the long unspoilt beaches are ideal for long walks. The country restaurants and the farm stalls such as the Grass Roof and Elephants Walk are great for families or couples to enjoy.
